The Company

INK-B-GONE was founded by Shelley Novello, a local suburbanite and mother of 4 teens, who realized there is an undeniable need for affordable tattoo removal services now and in the future.  Our business concept is simple....remove tattoos at affordable rates, utilizing the best laser equipment and certified laser technicians available.  We do not perform any other types of aesthetic laser treatments.  We believe that by focusing on tattoo removal exclusively, we will become the premier laser tattoo removal center in the Front Range and surrounding areas.

The Laser Technology...Newer is NOT always better!

We use the Medlite C6 Q-Switched ND YAG laser, which provides the largest array of treatment options available on the market today.  The C6 is actually 2 lasers in one box, giving us the ability to tackle most colors of ink.  In addition, there are 2 handpieces that can be used to specifically treat stubborn blues and greens.  The C6 is the only Q-Switched ND YAG on the market today that has these handpieces.  Also, we have the ability to use multiple energy settings at 2mm/3mm/4mm/6mm/8mm spot sizes, resulting in the best results with the minimal number of treatments.   

There are 5 major aesthetic laser companies that manufacture and sell Q-Switched ND YAG lasers for tattoo removal.  Every Q-Switched ND YAG is basically the same technology, with variations of packaging, energy levels, and spot sizes.   Some new tattoo removal laser models have recently been introduced in the market and there seems to be quite a bit of hype about them.  We have had these lasers (and others that never made it out of 'test' mode) in house to do some initial testing and have found that neither the lasers nor the treatment results can match those of the Medlite C6. 

Therefore, as a company we choose to stick with the proven best until something better comes along.  However, we will continue to evaluate new lasers as they become available.  We are most certainly not 'in bed' with the Medlite company and will maintain an unbiased relationship with all of the manufacturers to ensure we always have THE BEST equipment in our facilities.

Our Staff

• Dennis Kotelko, M.D. serves as our Board Certified Medical Director.  Dr. Kotelko received his Laser Specialist certification in 2001 and has been working with aesthetic lasers for over 11years.
• Shelley Novello serves as President/CEO and Certified Laser Specialist.  She received her Laser Specialist certification in 2006 and has treated over 1200 happy clients. 
• Simone received her CLS certification in 2007 after doubling as our intern and hard-working receptionist.  She started her career as a cosmetologist but now enjoys 'zapping' clients and teaching new CLS interns. 
• Michelle recently joined our staff at the Denver location, working part-time as a CLS.  She has worked as a licensed esthetician for the past 8 years and is married to a local tattoo studio owner/artist, giving her well-rounded knowledge of the entire tattoo lifecycle. 
• Terry and Pam are our Certified Laser Specialists at our North center (Westminster).  Both received their certification from Rocky Mountain Laser College earlier in 2007 and spent months interning with Shelley at our Denver location.

For the Community

INK-B-GONE is committed to 'give back' to the Denver metro area and surrounding communities by offering tattoo removal services to people and organizations who are not able to pay for this important service.  If you know of an organization that could benefit from this service, please contact us.  We currently provide treatments to students in the Rite of Passage, GRASP, and Turning Point youth programs, and provide discounted services to individuals involved in the Araphoe House Project, Empowerment Program, and various county probation and parole programs.
